Made-to-Measure
The Made-To-Measure service can be considered the pinnacle of John Goodwin’s Menswear ‘Personal Tailoring’ product and service offering. Suits, Jackets, Trousers, Morning Suits, Overcoats, Waistcoats and Shirts are all available to be tailor-made. Menswear Manager Dan Jessey works in partnership with Corneliani and Alessandro Gherardi, two of the most respected tailoring brands in the world, to produce tailor-made items from Italy that exceed customer expectation.
John Goodwin considers itself privileged to be one of a handful of retailers to have undergone the in-depth training that is required to deliver a Corneliani Made-to-Measure garment. This service delivers a premium quality product, with the fabrics selected for the collection being made exclusively from prized yarns. The garments are also hand sewn and undergo vigorous quality control checks before they are couriered to the retailer.
John Goodwin’s service starts with a consultation with the customer followed by a presentation of the process. The current season’s fabrics are discussed and presented to the customer and the styling of the garment is considered. The first fitting takes approximately one hour and once it is completed and the customer is satisfied the order is processed. Within 4 weeks the garment is then delivered to John Goodwin by Corneliani and on its arrival is checked further. A second fitting is then arranged for the customer to try on his finished garment where Dan re-assesses for any minor improvements. Once these adjustments are completed the personalised tailor-made item is then ready for wear.
