Belstaff

Belstaff

Quintessential British brand, Belstaff, has been creating luxury and innovative outerwear designs since founder Harry Grosberg started production in 1924 at its Stoke-on-Trent factory. Belstaff very quickly became famous for the “Waxed Cotton” used to create waterproof and breathable outerwear clothing. The company went on to design accessories which provided the wearer with maximum safety and protection including boots and gloves.

Over the years Belstaff has transformed this outerwear collection, predominantly favoured by motorcyclists and aviators, to a worldwide phenomenon of stylish and fashionable jackets, boots and accessories. Iconic jackets such as the Sammy Miller and Bradford have evolved through the years and are no longer desirable to motor enthusiasts only but also a huge fashion and celebrity fan base.

In 2004 Belstaff was taken over by an Italian clothing company who thankfully retained the love and respect for traditional manufacturing  processes. The brand today means many things to different people; to many it is still an iconic heritage brand that is well made; to others it as a fashion brand that continues to push its historical routes.
